Township goes 3-1 at Blue Streak Duals

The High School Blue Streaks wrapped up a busy week of competition by hosting their own Blue Streak Duals where they ended the weekend 3-1. After dropping the first match To Trinity High School, the Streaks bounced back, rattling off 7 straight wins. After suffering a few more losses, the match was capped with a scrappy win by Louis Malave over a very tough opponent. The dual ended solidly in favor of Township with a final score of 49-21.

The next dual versus Bermudian Springs was even more lopsided, ending in favor of the Blue Streaks 58-18. Bonus points were the name of the game as Township posted 10 bonus point victories, 9 of which were falls.

The Blue Streaks clashed with Governor Mifflin in their third meet of the day. The match was another victory for the Streaks as they took this was with a score of 51-24.

The final match of the day gave the Blue Streaks their first taste of dual meet defeat on the season. It was Florida team Tampa Jesuit that secured the 45-21 victory over Manheim Township. The Streaks started in a deficit and were never quite able to over come it. Despite the loss, there were postives from the match including a gutsy win by Brennan Zeyak where he secured the only takedown of the match to win 2-0. While no one enjoys the defeat, it is a great reminder that there is lots to improve upon. Our next competition will be at home on Wednesday January 12th as we take on Penn Manor! Please come out and show support!
